As a result of the Technological Setbacks the Boring Company is far from being fully operational

The Boring Company has made promises and accepted projects that as of right now can not actually complete. This is because a lot of the technology used in these plans have not actually been made or even been tested. This is especially relevant to the high speeds that the Boring Company has promised that they will be able to meet. In order for the company to hold their goals of ultra fast transportation over long distances are going to need to be going at least 600 miles per hour. The thing is the current hyper loop models can only reach a maximum of around 150 miles per hour. An increase in speeds of 450 mph is a massive feat that the Boring Company is going to have to accomplish. In order to bridge this gap the Company’s CEO has been hosting many universities at Hyper Loop events, in which each school test’s their model loop and see who can clock the highest speed. The prototypes at every event get better and better and right now they are reaching a best speed of about 288 mph. These advances are putting the Company on the right track to reach the speed they need but they are still very far away from reaching their goals. Another thing the company is going to have to focus on is reducing the cost of the actual boring itself. Previously the Boring Company marked that the projects would cost about 1 billion dollars per mile. This an enormous figure and Elon Musk is striving to get this number down to about 10% of that figure through more cost efficient digging.
I found your argument very interesting. I for one believe that the boring company is going to be successful. Yes it is going to take time and a lot of funding to develop the technology but I feel (like almost all technology) it will get better exponentially. With a man like Elon Musk running the show on the Boring Company, I have no doubt in my mind that the Boring Company will be able to meet and exceed expectations.
