Political Approval will play a massive role in the future progress of the Boring Company

In order for the Boring Company to find success in America’s cities and states they are first going to have to receive massive funding from the governments in place. Without the additional financial help or at least authorization the Boring Company will not be able to move an inch on any of their promises.
Starting on a National Scale with the upcoming presidential election coming in 2020, their will most likely be reform in Infrastructure funding. According to a Time’s Article called”A Quick Guide to the Big Ideas in the Democratic Primary”, addresses some presidential candidates’ views on funding infrastructure. Candidates like Donald Trump and Amy Klobuchar have put forward plans for billions of dollars that will be used for rebuilding America’s infrastructure. If either of these candidates are elected ,this would mean alot to the Boring Company’s future, as the increase in national funding will be able to fund some of the massive projects that the boring company has proposed such as the hyper loop from Washington DC to New York City.
Next I am going to address the State and Local level politics that will affect the Boring Company’s future. At a state and local level level its going to be crucial for cross state communication and agreements to accomplish some of the larger projects that the company is proposing. As mentioned earlier, the hyper loop from Washington DC to NYC is going to take a massive amount of cooperation between the State governments in which the tunnel will go through.
Hopefully as a result of the inspiring technology and claims of the Boring Company the United States and the rest of the world’s governments will help fund the boring projects to help revolutionize our ability to commute and travel.
I feel that our politicians should not devote our tax dollars to the Boring Company’s ideas. The country already has spent millions of dollars in implementing our countries rails, roads, and subways. We do not need another mode of traffic. Why have cities poured millions of dollars into an idea that literally is just a concept and has not been implemented in a real world location. Our infrastructure funding before going into crazy ideas should be focused on fixing the systems we already have, especially in our roadways. In conclusion the Boring Company is a publicity stunt for Elon Musk and SpaceX and should not be taken as a real competitor to current forms of transportation.
